lyme and hyperthyroid

I was just told this past week that my primary care dr. feels (based on bloodwork and ultrasound) that my newest condition is ... hyperthyroid.

Primary care feels it's a stand alone issue, and not lyme (she feels the 28+ days antibiotics were sufficient). LLMD said it could be from lyme.

I am afraid that the lyme treatment may hinder the thyroid? Is that likely?

For those who have had thyroid issues, did they remedy when the lyme eased, or was the thyroid damaged? Just trying to get an idea of what the outlooks can be.
