Hi Charlie,
First of all, Quest has a very poor reputation for even being able to do the test properly, so your likelihood of getting a positive are slim - although they do still happen occasionally.
Yes, it is more likely that some will be able to test positive after several weeks of proper abx use, but you also need to have been off of the abx for several weeks so that they body can have the time to mount up a response as well.
It was after 12 months of abx, then being off of them for over 3 months that helped me get a positive for not only Lyme, but Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever as well - although I'm an extreme case, so-to-speak.
