sex and re-infection of lyme bacteria?

I have a funny feeling that if one person has lyme and is being treated for it and their partner has lyme but isn't aware they have the disease and isn't being treated, that the person who is going through treatment will not get well because they keep getting re-infected by their partner. I really think this is possible. I think you can transmit lyme through sex. I think you can get re-infected by your partner. Does anybody agree? Do you think that both partners should be treated if one person is going through lyme treatment? I think my partner got lyme from me, he shows some of the symptoms. I am curious if this could be the case for us who have partners and whose partners aren't diagnosed with lyme yet either because they aren't very sick right now or are stubborn men like my partner is lol. Does anybody have any thoughts on this subject? I mean if Lyme bacteria resembles syphilis in terms of its shape, why wouldn't it be possible to transmit it through sex? ... and keep transmitting it back and forth?

Yep, I agree with Traveler..  Research has shown that lyme can be transmitted sexually..  I know couples where both are infected then I know couples where only one partner gets sick depending on how healthy they both are.
