Glad it's gone!
Our daughter tested negative for babesia with Igenex and never had a babesia symptom. They were all bartonella (which she tested positive for).
Her first air hunger symptoms (chest pressure, sighing and sometime coughing) showed up when we were increasing WoodLandEssence's CSA (cryptolepis/sida/alchornea) tincture. They came and went during the day, gradually declining until her next dosage (don't need to hit me over the head too hard).
I had added cryptolepis to Buhner's bartonella protocol on a whim because some of her psych symptoms responded well to malarone during abx treatment. Malarone never did cause any kind of herx for her.
I have pretty much given up on the idea that a positive test for anything is needed to identify infection. There are so many strains of bacteria/virus/protozoa that have yet to be identified, let alone have a proper test in place for.
If you are herxing on any new protocol it's probably because something is dying off. For us a babesia-like herx with cryptolepis probably means a protozoan of some type is involved. We will now pursue protozoa, even though we have a negative babs result.
