I think diet plays a big part in our healing, not in killing the bacteria - if I can pretend to separate the two right now. In order to kill as complex of a bacteria as Bb, I believe that specific herbs or anti-infective treatments are necessary as well though. Something "broad spectrum" just won't do it, these bacteria are too "smart" and can avoid it's killing power.
Detoxing definitely plays a very large role in our healing - if you happen to have a body that had compromised detox pathways, the body fills with toxins and there's no healing when that happens.
I see it as a four pronged approach - anti-infective treatments, detoxing, supporting the body functions and diet to nourish and heal.
