I actually didn't get bit by a tick at all and that I am absolutely 100% certain of because there are no ticks where I live (northern Alberta Canada) the winter kills them off. Also I caught this in the middle of a freezing cold winter. In addition to that I am purely an indoors person. We have to remember 50% of people do not recall tick bites or EM rashes.
I caught Lyme from another person that I know that has chronic Lyme, but I was unaware that it can be passed from person to person and thought it was only from tick bites. She was untreated for a few years, and therefore I believe her infection load must be high.
She wiped a tear from her eye literally 5 minutes before I showed her a picture on my phone which she touched. I believe the germs got passed off. Then I was using this stupid vape device for nicotine which I literally was just experimenting with just 2 months before meeting her which is tragic I know. I did not thing this would happen but it was an accident that did indeed happen.
So my transmission her tear--> her finger --> my phone --> my finger --> my vape device mouth peice --> my lips --> infection into me. Bizarre I know but I caught Lyme, Bartonella, AND Mycoplasma all diagnosed. This just shows accidental exposures do happen, and although it is not as contagious as say something like the flu, in untreated people it could potentially be infectious. I hear Mycoplasma and Bartonella is more infectious than lyme. I believe babesia is unlikely to be transmitted in bodily fluids though.
I had subtle symptoms that started just 24 hours after meeting her, and full blown INTENSE symptoms just 72 hours later. Everything from insomnia, anxiety, brain fog, body burning inflammation, knee pains, neurological issues, everything. I believe it diseminated throughout my body that fast. I literally went from being 100%, exercising daily, sleeping 8 hours a day, and feeling great to becoming very ill, the most ill I have been my entire life.
