Hello everyone!
Yesterday, my wife and I received a firm diagnosis. She has Lyme disease. In a sense, so do I, as my promise to her was to stay by her side, "in sickness and in health" means we are in this together. She has my unending and unwavering support as she begins down this scary path.
We are fortunate to have a very well respected and knowledgeable doctor within a couple hour drive who took on my wife's case, and prepared a treatment plan. We know what is ahead, though we both recognize that "knowing" and "experiencing" are often times two very separate things.
Reading this forum has been informative and uplifting at times. To that, I offer my thanks.
I am also fortunate to have a very stubborn, smart and strong-willed wife. Some of my male buddies might look at me sideways over that description, but when waging war on these bugs, that is the exact personality type which can come out winning. She will put on a fight worthy of an epic movie.
Anyway, me (The-Hubby) appreciates the information posted here and looks forward to contributing when I can.
Be well, my friends.
