I've been treating for 6 months, Minocycline for 2 months, mino, ceftin, and rifampin 150 mg twice a day for two months, then upped Rifampin to 300 mg for another month, and currently on Rifampin and Bactrim.
The main symptoms I am still experiencing are
--Overall body weakness, and slight muscle wasting, with the rt leg feeling weaker than the rest of the body
--uncoordinated/jerky feeling
--Tremors
--heart palpitations
--Head/ear fullness
--Subcantaneous nodules
--blurry vision
--swollen lymph nodes
--painful soles of the feet
--chest tightness, and mild air hunger
--feel tired, but wired.
--off balance on occasion
--feeling faint when standing
My LLMD believes these are all from Bartonella, and I believe most are, but that some could be Babesia Ducani(?), and that could be the reason my treatment isn't taking care of the big stuff.
I did have a period before I upped my Rifampin dosage where I felt my muscles were coming back, but they've gone mushy again. I've had a lot less twitching, I'm sleeping, and eating better, headaches are getting better, anxiety is gone, ..., so I've seen mild improvements, but don't feel I'm gaining much ground. Since switching to the higher Rifampin, and Bactrim, I'm actually feeling a little worse.
Do you guys have any input on what you think these symptoms could be from, or changes I might need to make with my abx?
Thanks!
