Whenever I drink milk or eat cream I have to run to the bathroom after about 12mins. I'm not joking, I can almost time it with a stopwatch - lol. The cramping is terrible, I start sweating like crazy.
So I changed to lactose free milk, a good brand (and expensive too
), drank that for a while, and then I just stopped drinking it at a certain moment.
I'm only eating sheep's and goat's cheeses. And for some funny reason, I do tolerate mozarella.
Milk, even lactose free, made me produce so much mucus in my throat that at a point I couldn't get rid of it.
I don't even miss it right now.
I praise myself lucky that i don't have a casein allergy, and only a lactose intolerance.
If you want, you could make your own dairy free kefir too.
