Hi All!

I am going to start flagyl in a couple of days and I have a question about interactions. Currently I drink kombucha with chia seeds every day and I wonder if any of you have had any problems drinking kombucha while on Flagyl. The kind I buy says it has "trace amounts of alcohol" but I don't know exactly how much that amounts to. I'm leaning toward continuing my daily kombucha but I don't want to be in for a nasty surprise :)

Any thoughts or personal experiences would be appreciated!

I make my own kombucha and drink it daily and never had it react with Flagyl. I also take A-L complex everyday and it never reacts to Flagyl.

I'm glad to hear you haven't had any problems with it. My daily kombucha habit is getting a little expensive so maybe at some point I should look into making my own as well. Do you find it difficult or overly time consuming?

I brew a few batches a week, I have a 2 gallon jug, a gallon and a quart I do and it is not time consuming at all. I brew the tea and let it sit all day to cool. Then I transfer the kombucha tea from one container to the next and refrigerate it. I bought my scoby from
Kombuchaamerica.com, they guarantee them if you buy 2, that way if it gets contaminated they will send you one for free. So far mine haven't gotten contaminated and I've had them for a good 9 months.
