I was thinking just what healing98 said. That you got some of the bugs out of hiding and now you can hit them with the antibiotics.
I read in the book by Pamela Weintraub "Cure Unknown" that she said that Dr. Joe B (big time lyme dr.) had lyme disease and that he told her that that's how cured himself- pulsing.
I remember that chapter well, b/c it was talking about
being done with lyme, being cured. (and it helps it's about
the shortest chapter in the book-a very good book, by the way)
She said Dr. B said "three times". He said this is what he did and what he told her to try: three times he went off his abx, and he let himself feel it all- get bad, feel sick, everything; and then bam! hit them with the abx. Then do it again he said, and then again.
She said she did this, three times, and it worked for her, no more symptoms.
Now, I'm not saying this is what you or anyone should do. I think we should make those decisions with the help of our drs. I'm just saying your post reminded me of that chapter.
My son's dr. doesn't pulse abx. I've read that Dr. J (one of the best pediatric lyme dr.s, doesn't), maybe b/c children do well with treatment to begin with, I don't know; so I'm hoping not pulsing is a good plan for my son.
But it makes me wonder; sometimes I worry if my son's symptoms will return when he is off the abx. I suppose if so he can start again and it would have that affect of pulsing- getting the bugs when they came out of hiding.
Anyway, getting long with this, sorry.
I'm glad you're getting back on track, and I wish you well!
