What kind of dr to go to ?

Hi

about 15 years ago I had mono and later recurrences of illness , I was told it was Epstein. Barr .
I started developing tachycardia, dizziness etc but couldn't get diagnosed. I was told its from EBV.
I was dealing with it for years until around 8 years ago when symptoms intensified with anxiety, dizziness, light headed , lights bothering me etc

Went to Nuerologist for numbness in my thigh and ran some blood work .
Tested positive for lyme titer antibodies and elevated sed rate and C-reactive protein , so then went for western blot which came positive for 3 bands, 41,58 and 66 .

Because it doesn't meet CDC requirements she won't treat

What do you think ? Seek further evaluation?

I'd say get a 2nd opinion so if you do have Lyme, you can start treatments. You don't want it to go untreated any longer if you can help it. I'd suggest you find a Lyme literate doctor (LLMD), who is trained to diagnose through blood tests and symptoms. You can ask for one on here by starting a new thread titled "Looking for LLMD in____" and make sure your email is enabled so people can send you the names of doctors. We're not supposed to mention them on here.

Come back here to learn more about Lyme and co-infections. Let us know how it goes.

Hi Giftcreations,

yes, the best thing to do would be looking for a Lyme literate doctor!! Please don't leave it like this, a Lyme literate dr will be able to see the whole picture.
EBV and Lyme are friends... My dr confirmed that this was what brought the Lyme out in my case, about 20 yrs ago.
