Does a positive lyme titer along with a western blot positive IGg band 41, 58, 66
Mean anything to lyme ?
If not what else could this be?

Apparently band 58 may be related to babesia.

Band 41 is an indication of a spirochete - which means lyme, syphilis, leptospirosis or a dental infection
I have read from LymeMDs online blog that there is suspicion that bands 58 and 66 can cross react with babesia .... on WB tests, I have had both 58 and 66 appear, and I have also tested positive on blood tests for babesia, confirming this link ...
Perhaps it is not simply babesia though, but a parasite similar ...

I understand that the doctor I saw was following cdc guidelines to diagnosing Lyme but having positive anything show up with someone having symptoms should be looked into ..

I have babesia too.. and I was positive on band 58 on both sides.
