Lyme Everywhere said...
Have they found anything effective to penetrate the biofilms yet? I am having difficulty finding this information. My doctor has me on Serrapeptase enzyme and this stuff is amazing, but I'm not sure if it is a biofilm buster. I will look into getting Stephen's book since it looks very informational.Thanks again!
Happy to help!
Serrapeptase is a commonly used biofilm buster.
In his coinfection book that includes Bartonella, Buhner recommends the following biofilm treatment:
"1. NAC, 4000mg 2x daily, and/or...
2. Greater celandine, 1/4 teaspoon 3x daily, and/or..
3. Royal jelly (contains decanoic acid, which will help disperse biofilms) 1 teaspoon 3x daily"
Please know that NAC is an excellent supplement whether one chooses to use it to treat biofilm or not:
www.lifeextension.com/magazine/2010/5/N-Acetyl-Cysteine/Page-01I cannot recommend Buhner's books enough....all of those related to Lyme and its coinfections along with his "Herbal Antiobiotics" and "Herbal Antivirals" - the latter of which can be bought in digital editions for $2 and change on Amazon.
Buhner explains the infection and disease process in such a way that the reader understands what's necessary for healing....and it's not just about
killing the bugs.
"LYME PHILOSOPHY
Rather than making it a priority to kill the lyme spirochetes in any form, Stephen's approach to managing lyme disease is as follows:
1. Support collagen structures so that damage to the body systems ceases;
2. Enhance immune function so that the body can deal with the organism itself;
3. Shut down the inflammatory pathways the spirochetes initiate, especially in the CNS;
4. Treat symptoms;
5. And only then, try and kill the spirochete."
This philosophy applies to all of the infections. Following it is what is bringing me to the finish line.
