How many spirochetes do you see in your vision?

Yeah. I dont want to be the party pooper but I just wanted to say the same.

Spirochetes are way to small to be seen with the normal human vision....

I'm not saying they cant be in your eye tissue, just saying I highly doubt that what you see are spirochetes.

to explain a little further

while its true that spirochetes like Borrelia Burgdorferi are typically tens of microns long - 20 to 30 microns being the commonly quoted number
and an item 20microns high and 20microns across would indeed be easily visible under a conventional light microscope ( a single red blood cell is 8 microns and these are easily visible)

however, the key thing to understand about a spirochete from a physics perspective is that it is a thread like object measuring approx 20microns one dimension - but is incredibly thin in the other two dimensions
in width and depth they are around 0.2 to 0.3microns

as a rough metaphor - think about trying to see a 20metre length of 0.2mm monofilament fishing line someone is holding up from 100 meters away = its is definitely 20metres long - but that doesn't help you see it - as its very thin.

in fact - this 0.2 to 0.3microns is the key dimension - as the the known resolution limit for light microscopes is also around 0.2 to 0.3microns - and around double that in the z axis

note - this "resolution limit" is the best possible performance of the theoretically perfect microscope ( ie not allowing for real wold conditions which always involve some combination of optical defects in any of the many lenses, dirt, imperfect diffraction in fluids, focussing issues etc etc) in practice the limit of resolution will be higher.

its important to understand that this phenomenon is not a property of the microscope - or the eyeball for that matter - but that this limit exists because of the fundamental physics of how light interacts with small objects.

this means that objects smaller or thinner than half the wavelength of visible light simply become invisible as light is able to path through and around them - rather than producing a distinct image

this not new or contentious science - it has been known since around 1845

thus - even if a spirochete had decided to lie directly across the rods and cones (light sensing cells) in the retina - it would not produce a clear image of a spirochete in the visual field of the observer.

i agree we are all on the same side - so i am trying to share information to educate - not to be argumentative
but because i strongly believe that we need to have clear and realistic understandings of the nature of this disease and its pathology if we are to successfully navigate our way back to full health.

I have to disagree there Garzie. Floaters are similar sized. Please see my comment above. Remember also, spirochetes can exist in several shapes and forms (ie. biofilm).
