It going gluten free an essential part of lyme treatment?
My doctor and other llmds have recommended it- my doctor said cut down/out gluten and sugar.
I cut way down on sugar but I still eat bread almost every day.
I have never had any form of gluten intolerance. I asked this question on here before but am not asking again in light of my new stomach issues.
I have been doing almsot everything I have been told by the doctor except going gluten free. Is this somehting I have to do or is this just an optional thing? I don't really understand it.
My stomach in addition to the other tmi thing I discussed in my other thread is really bloated and weird feeling.
I don't know- the other thing is I ate tunafish for the first time in probably a year yesterday-- I had stopped eating it after the ***ushima spill because felt like the pacific ocean was really contaminated. I had a massive craving yesterday and ate a tunafish sandwhich, whatever- my husband ate one too and he feels fine so it is probably not that that is causing my stomach issues!
Just an aisde.
Anyway- do I really have to stop gluten, and is it so the lyme treatment will work or is it a form of detox, or is it only for people who have alguten sensativity? I have always been fine with gluten before.
