In August 2009, I awoke one morning with a red, swollen, burning right ear that lasted for about three weeks, and left behind a hard cartilage nodule on the pinna. Here's an example of what it looked like..."acute auricular perichondritis" which can be caused by an insect bite bacterial infection.
Two months later I got extremely sick, primarily severe flu-like symptoms with extreme head pressure that lasted for two months, after which the head pressure subsided but has never gone away, with periodic flare-ups that continue to debilitate me for hours at a time when it happens. I didn't get a positive IGeneX test result until July 2012 and still have not been treated.
Anyhow, so as far as I know, I didn't experience the target-like bite site, but speculate that my ear was likely the bite site where the ear may appear different than a flat surface.
Has anyone here experienced their bite site on the ear and if so, what have been your experiences?
Thanks.
