nerve blocks

So, I've been feeling on the verge of death lately and my symptoms have really kicked up to a unbearable level. I had such burning pain in my throat, I can't take it anymore. Which by the way my throat looks perfectly normal...of course..just had it scoped again.

I now am seeing a ENT who scheduled me for a CT scan. I have some sort of cyst or growth, which might be responsible for all this dry heaving. So at least I have some hope to get that resolved.

As for the burning, they can potentially offer nerve blocks to the muscle area of my throat that appears to be very inflamed. Anyone get nerve blocks, and is it a bad idea to do with lyme. I'm pretty desperate for relief.

Yes, it's probably all related. This pain is so bad I literally pace around the house, I can't even watch tv. It seems to be all in the area of this big cyst, which is probably infected with lyme bacteria. The doc doesn't think it's cancer but the pain is unreal. I thought it was a herx but it just doesn't go away. I think it's responsible for the nausea, inability to eat, trouble swallowing. Probably contributes to some of the weight loss. It's like a million shards of glass in my throat. They also think reflux too but there is no erosion.

I mean this has been on and off while for the past 6 months but this is beyond torture. Oddly, this all flared with the babesia medicine so I had to stop for now. If it is partly a herx, I hope it can settle down a bit. This is beyond unreal...I did hear that babesia herded could get really bad

Ugh that sounds horrible! Nerve blocks sounds really drastic to me… But you know how you feel and it sounds pretty bad. So sorry you are going through this!

Louise I hope you untangle this mystery soon. Sounds like a lot of suffering to me. Hugs!
