Unfortunately a new symptom came on me unexpectedly last night while laying in bed. I had flashing intense heart pains. They felt very sharp and stabbing like. I may have had these before Lyme though and it could be because of mercury toxicity or magnesium deficiency. Or maybe it is the Lyme.

Anyways has anyone ever had this and what do you do to help it? Pretty scary symptom for me.

Hi LP, yes I had it and it is very scary ! There is a condition called costochondritis which often accompanies Lyme. It is a sharp heart attack like pain in the chest wall. Many people end up in the ER thinking they are having a heart attack. May be called by swelling of tissue in the chest wall. I took doxycycline and it stopped the pain immediately. Hope this helps.

I took minocycline and tinidazole and I took 2 of each. Anyways I got over it. Yes scary! I haven't had that for some time now!

I don't get it i was like close to symptom free for the past 2 months and I cut out my tinidazole dose and lots if symptoms just come right back! It is so frustrating! I don't want to be on tinidazole forever and I even think it's now time to stop it completely. I have to figure out different medicines for this disease.

I take a does of the abx when it happens and it goes away. The disease takes a long time to subside. May depend on how long youve had it. I have read some need 1-3 years to recover.
