Hey guys kinda hard day for me ... Just thinking If I got married and can I have babies after that ... So confusing I Dont wana trasmit to baby or my fiance ... Going through hard time

Hey Harry - sorry you're having a bad day too - sucks. Did you talk to your LLND OR LLMD about your concerns? They should be able to answer that, but then again who knows anymore. I know a lot of mothers with Lyme have passed it on to their babies - sucks big time. Some say yes, it's transmitted sexually, others say no - big debate. But one thing I know for sure is that mothers can "give"it to their baby in the womb. Hope you started treatment Harry - it's one heck of a bumpy ride. Keep us posted. Hope you have a better day tomorrow, Harry. Just don't give up Hope - Keep the Faith.

In time dear Harry! I would definitely say to use protection while you are in treatment and maybe make sure the mrs has a clean bill of health from lyme before trying.

I was pretty sick from lyme though and now I'm healed and preggers. Many on here have come back and said they have had healthy babies. :)

Hi Opugirl. Just curious are you taking amoxicillin during your pregnancy? Or are you just symptom free and done Lyme treatment?

Hi Harry! Sorry you are having a hard day. It is confusing weeding through all the info.
I passed Lyme onto my daughter but didn't know I was infected at the time. I started treatment and then five months later found out I was pregnant again, total surprise. I was on amoxicillian, ceftin and nystatin during my whole pregnancy and baby's cord blood tested negative. Of course I was not able to breastfeed him(didn't want to chance it) but I was happy with a healthy and big baby boy. My 4 year old daughter is in treatment and doing very well.

My husband is tested for Lyme each January and has always been negative.
I agree with needhelp4 on using protection. Talk to your LLMD about options when you are ready to try for a baby. The longer you are in treatment the better chances you will have to have a healthy baby. Kill as many bugs as you can now! Set yourself up for the future!

Hi LymePickle,

No amoxicillin here. I've been off all antibiotics since August. Did herbs really only until January. Then just vitamins. I'm still fine and dandy.

Personally, I do worry still as I wonder if my husband has been affected but I am prepared also for the worst with my little one. Talked to the herbalist, ND, and LLMD - and all said that if I've been in the clear for this long it is better not to be on antibiotics just for precautions.

Beth, that's nice that all of your doctors have the same opinion. I suspect your baby will be fine.

Harry, I'm sorry you have to have those concerns. It sure can put a damper on life, but hopefully you'll be on a healing path and be able to be free of worries. Just focus on fighting the beasts.
