Hi everyone, I've gotten bit 2 or 3 times every year for the last 7 years. The first time I was diagnosed with RMSF and was given the 200mg Doxy for 30 days and my doc repeated it again since I was already immune suppressed. Since then I've changed docs and get refill doxy and I'm on it from first bit usually May until late Sept. each year. This year however, first bite was May 18 and had joined a Lyme Facebook group and saw everyone was taking higher doses. So anyway tried it and had to stop due to bad herxing. I'm now back on 200mg per day.

This bite is different as I'm sure I've gotten RMSF again (new rash on foot) and proly Babs and Bart. My DO is a doll and I really like him, but he's not real Lyme Literate. I'd like to find a LLMD near me or at least one that's "friendly". Baring finding one local I'd like to find one who'd be willing to do a phone consult with my Dr. if you know of anyone willing to do that.

I'll be talking with an ND this week about the herbal side of things and I've bought Horowitz's book, hard to slog thru with brain fog.

I'm on a very limited budget on SS but not old enough for Medicare so my insurance isn't very good. I have a part time job to supplement SS at a hospital so a PICC line is out.

Savings was long gone after'08 loosing job and profession, so cost cutting and frugal is my name.
