Having a bad day and feeling a little nervous. Sorry for spreading any negativity!

I've been on abx for about a year now and have 8 months or so to go. I'm seeing improvement but am very nervous about the long term effects of the drugs, looking for positive stories of coming off them and not having lasting symptoms as a result of the drugs!

Was essentially on doxy four months amoxicillin for one before realizing the co infections were an issue

Added rifampin then. Took a long time to adjust to that. Still have to start taking two 300mgs at once. Been taking them seperately for three months now, gonna start taking them together this week.

Will be on that with zithro for two more months then switching off the rifampin to bactrim, zithro, mepron

Have babs, Bart, erlichia, lyme. Have felt pretty good the past month in general despite not addressing babesia yet.

Sorry you are having a bad day! There are lots of success stories out there. I was on meds for a little over 3 years. I have been abx free for 4 months and feeling great. I had all the same co-infections as you do.
Everyone is different and each dr treats different but sounds like you have a great med plan in place.

Hi Reba, Mine is a success story -- almost. I'm at 99% wellness, just a crunchy neck and tightness in the throat. My mind is clear, energy good, and I am getting stronger every day.

I've been on a variety of abx and herbs for six years for Lyme, Ehrlichia and Babesia. This last bit of recovery is a quite frustrating, but I am determined that I will be symptom-free before I stop my treatment.

Hope you are feeling better. So much of successful recovery is a matter of mind and spirit. Keep strong and don't lose hope.
