Not sure if I have Lyme

I was diagnosed with Lyme disease by an integrative medicine doctor. However, I am not sure if I have it. My test results from LabCorp and Quest were as follows:
CD 57 - 46 (low)
C4a- 18077 (high)
TGF beta 1- 10600 (high)
MSH- 18 (low)
From Igenex- bands were as follows:
30 +
31 -ind
39 - ind
41 +++
58 +
I have extreme fatigue, insomnia, low stamina, some short term memory issues. Wen to a second doctor for anther opinion and she said "not sure". I have not been tested for co-infections by Igenex. Please help with any information.

Hi Ravensgirl. Band 41 on the test shows the presence of flagella, the tails of the spirochetes. Unless you have syphilis or one rocking case of periodontal disease, it is a positive result for Lyme bacteria.

Your best course of action would be to get a Lyme Literate Doctor, they would diagnose you clinically and get further testing to determine the nature of your disease. Also beginning treatment is often a great way to be sure of your diagnosis. If you have a Herxheimer Reaction that would be most definite confirmation that you have Lyme.


You really don't want to live like this; you can get better. Do it!

H achievinggrace, Thank you so much for the information. The integrative medicine doctor is also Lyme literate. He started me on an antibiotic regimen of Mincyline, Bactrum, Omnicef, and Flagyl. I only took the abx for about 8 days a month. He had me do everything but the Flagyl on Mon, Wed, and Fri. for 2 weeks and then off a week. I only took the Flagyl once every 3 weeks.

I never herxed so I began to think I didn't have it. I have been going to a homeopath, but that hasn't been working too well either. I may have found another doctor who is also Lyme Literate who I am thinking of seeing. Thank you again for your advice. I appreciate it very much.
