Should I go to another Dr ?

On July 18th I noticed a rash. I remember being bit the week before and itching it (thought it was mosquito bite never looked at it). Well it looked like an almost complete circle with a dot in it. (I can't figure out how to post a picture here). Went to the local urgent care on July 20th by then it looked different a much redder welt circle with a dot in it.  Showed the Dr the picture from Friday he said it looked like Lyme then he looked at it on me and said it didn't look like Lyme could be infected spider bite (I've had a spider bite before and never this reaction). He gave me doxycline  100mil 2x's a day for 10 days.  I haven't had the bad symptoms I hear about; no flu or swollen lymph nodes. I do have some side effects from the antibiotic. I'm 50 with a very stressful life right now so I can honestly say almost all the symptoms that match the Lyme symptoms that I have I've also had before.  Not sure what to do I've looked to see if there is an infectious disease dr in my health plan but there doesn't seem to be anyone local. 

ID doctors usually aren't any help, so it would be best to look for a Lyme literate doctor (LLMD or LLND). I'd suggest you start a new post saying something like "looking for LLMD in ____ (your city, state). Make sure you have your email enabled in your profile so people can send you names of doctors in your area if there are any since we can't post them on the forum. The sooner you get tested, the better your chance of overcoming it.

With a stressful life, it can allow the infection to take hold more, especially if you have a poor diet. You can read through the "New to Lyme?" thread at the top of the page to learn about that and many other things. Keep us posted.

A ten-day treatment regimen is way to short. Doctors are supposed to give you a month's regimen. Even physicians who are not Lyme Literate are supposed to do that, whether you have symptoms or not.
