Worsening of the symptoms. Meningitis?

Dear members!

I need help from experienced people who had lyme meningitis. I have dizziness, and headaches since I have stopped the ABX (a month ago!!!). The symptoms were waving, but always there and it is getting worse-and-worse. In the last few days I have it constantly, since yesterday went worse (after trying an epsom salt bath). It is a weird headache, rather stressing of the head, lately also the neck with the feeling that the nerves are irritating in my head. It is a bad feeling even turn my head, or my eyes, but it is not really pain.
My problem is that we planned to go for a few days of vacation from today, and I do not know if I should go to the ER rather. What do you think about it? Is these "nomal" symptoms? Could it last more than a month? Or can it be lyme meningitis, or pseudotumor cerebri? Please help, as I am a bit scared!

Hi hornet,

If it is Lyme meningitis, going to the ER is not going to give you any relief. They will be able to rule other things out, however, so if that would put your mind at ease then go.

It would be a good idea to go back to your Lyme Literate doctor when you get back from your vacation. You may not have had complete or thorough treatment.

I'm wondering exactly the same thing, but for me, it only happens when I take abx or antimicrobials. I have a continuous headache and stiff neck. It's quite awful.

I'm seeing my LLMD some time in Sept., which reminds me, I need a dog sitter!

PS, I looked online for viral meningitis, and I'm going to order a bunch of supplements, minus anything that would trigger a herx.

If you're interested, let me know.

I'm also going to take a lot of Acyclovir for the possibility of viral meningitis.

Tank you for replies. Thank God today it was better then yesterday, so I am bit calm down now. I hope it won't be worse in the future.
But I will definetly ask my LLMD.

The supplements I purchased online are already helping my neck/head/back/forehead and etc. pain. I started taking Acyclovir 4 times a day, and that seems to be helping too.

Yeah, I went to the ER with what I'm sure was meningitis. They asked me to touch my chest with my chin, but I couldn't lift it off the bed, the pain was so bad. All I got was a pregnancy test and a migraine cocktail. Not even pain meds to go home.

In their (slight) defense, I had already had CTs of my head and neck. All they showed was those white matter hyperintensities and some mild lower cervical disc degeneration. They told me I'd had a thorough work up. I told them something was seriously WRONG with me, but they said they couldn't help me in the ER.

They did get me in with a neurologist a month later, and she did trigger point injections into my neck. Steroids! Ugh. I was in bed for days after that!

I obviously had no diagnosis at that time.
