My blood work shows I'm getting worse

Or maybe not? My CD 57 when I was diagnosed two months ago was a 50. In two months it stopped to a 35. I am CDC + as well. My RDW is also slightly low (first time). Has anyone had this experience?

I've only been on doxy for the two months. My doctor is now adding in tindamax to break up cysts (and also because I've been feeling worse). So I'll take doxy one week, tindamax the next, doxy, tindamax, and so on.

I've been pretty optimistic up until this point. But seeing the doctors note of "continued active infection, and chronic Lyme" scared me.

Advice? As I mentioned I am early in treatment, starting month 3

As far as I know, the CD57 is not a value that you can use to determine how treatment is going - if anyone has found any articles where this has changed, please do post about it and any information you have about it.

Depending on how long you have had these infections, how many infections and other health issues you are dealing with, 3 months isn't very long, so please don't get too discouraged!!

I know that Babesia infects and can destroy red blood cells, have you been evaluated for this common co-infection yet?

At one point in time, back when I was seeing regular MD's, both my RBC & my WBC were low, then they were at opposite ends, then they were both high. That really confused a Non-LL doc!! LOL!

I've been having symptoms for approximately 2 and half years now. But honestly I got sick from my gallbladder and just never got better after. Food intolerances, neuro symptoms, you name it.

I wasn't sure if the CD 57 was a marker for getting better, but my Doc did say that she recommends anyone with an active Lyme infection get up to 100 before she considers them better (plus clinical symptoms, which is what she treats for #1)

Not sure how tindamax works with the doxy. She told me that tindamax can help break up the cysts. And that the doxy may be killing off some bacteria but all it's going to do is lump together, so the tindamax can help with that.
