Girlie... The diet is tough. In fact getting the diet down has actually been one of the most difficult aspects in treating this disease for me but I think I got it down. It took me 7 months to get the diet down and for me to actually have the discipline to not cheat the diet!
Like ideally... You want no gluten, no wheat, no sugar, no dairy, no alcohol, no caffeine ...
What can be eaten? All organic foods, grain fed chicken, organic vegetables, black beans, pinto beans, onion, garlic, jalapeƱo peppers, green peppers, kale, cilantro, avocado, tomato, eggs, dried coconut, whey protein.
To drink... Water, lemon water, lime water, pomegranete juice, or kombucha.
And my treat... All organic no dairy pure coconut ice cream! With organic vanilla flavouring!! I eat my treat even for breakfast. Coconut oil has got the best fats to fight pathogens and yeasts, they make spirochetes and pathogenic bacteria fall apart. I eat like 1 full container if coconut ice cream a day.
If someone told me to switch to this kind of diet I would say that is impossible! No way... But there were times when I kind of wanted to change over but just couldn't. Well Lyme pretty much forced me! Yikes, now I'm forced to eat like this for the rest of my life.... It's a good and bad thing though. My blood pressure is much lower and my weight is stabilized now.
