so I haven't been treating the lyme since june. On a break since I encountered mold in my house and my body was really sensitive to all meds. the house was remediated and ive been back for a few weeks. I started to feel a little better and some symptoms got better after the remediation

last night I felt a little nauseaous before bed. I woke up in the middle of the night with swollen hand and numb fingers. I sat up to take my rings off and realized I was drenched in sweat. I was hit with another wave of nausea. I got up to go to the bathroom and went crashing down to the ground almost blacking out. My body went totally weak but I dragged myself to the bathroom.

It felt like my body was 1000 degrees even though I was cold. Then I had that sudden and overwhelming sensation of doom as it felt like something was really wrong. I went to the bathroom and lied on the floor and seemingly it passed. I then got very cold and was able to get back to bed.

I was thinking maybe heart but I had that all checked out. My husband thought food poisoning. I did have a pre-made sandwich from a store yesterday that didn't quite seem right.

tested negative for babesia..

I've had similar experiences since I was I my early twenties. I do t know what it is, I have it happen episodically with or without nausea but often with tachycardia. I do t know what it is not its horrible.im sorry! Maybe someone else can offer some kind of I do. I just used to think it was a panic attack or I was going to die, now that I know I have lyme I just chalk it up to everything being messed up.

That sounds scary, Louise! The things we have to go through...it's nuts!
Someone mentioned on this forum once that we all should have nurses taking care of us...this disease is so horrendous! I've never really been a envious of rich people...but it certainly would be nice now to be able to afford personal care from an RN for 8 hours every day.

Just when you get sorta used to your symptoms...some new ones pop up! Now, I've got a sore spot on the back of my head...telling myself it's a swollen lymph node...trying to just chalk it up to lyme. It's slightly swollen...of course I've thought about lots of other things it could be. sad

I hope this doesn't happen to you again.

That does sound awful. Hope you're feeling better. I have had 3-4 serious food poisoning episodes, which went pretty much as you described. Often with food poisoning, you think you're going to die you feel so awful and then once the food is evacuated, you feel fine. So that's one way f.p. reveals itself.

Also, don't know if you remember but about 6 mos. ago I was having these horrible episodes with indescribably painful cramping throughout my entire torso, which went on for hours—one night it was 18 hours of this, writing in pain, pulsing cramping every 3-5 minutes… until I finally projectile vomited a couple times—and then right after my fingers/hands/arms went paralyzed and numb for a couple minutes. And then presto—exhaustion aside, I was back to "normal". Crazy and scary. LLMD & I (and with the help of the forum, to be truthful) diagnosed it as bell's palsy of the gut—from Brother Bart.

So my thought was that it's possible you might have had some lyme/bart/bab—not sure which ails you—reaction as your body was trying to digest something it didn't like? Is that a stretch? I hope you're past it, which would suggest it was associated with something you ate. I think in soooo many ways, our bodies just don't respond normally to situations anymore—not until we get the infection under control.

Sounds like food poisoning to me. I had it once while hunting and I passed out. Not something you want to happen when elevated in a tree stand. I was very lucky I didn't fall.

Wow, Louise, I'm so very sorry!! I do hope that it's all over now. Not that I would wish food poisoning on anyone, but I hope that's all it was! I hope you feel better soon!!

Georgia Hunter - I'm really glad that you didn't come out of that tree too!!!
