Sweet Taste In The Mouth

Has anyone ever suddenly for no apparent reason developed a "sweet" taste in the mouth?? I've been having this off and on lately and it makes everything I put in my mouth sweet tasting! I'm not diabetic and have read it could be neurological?

yes, I have that very often... I think it must be neurological. I haven't looked into it though, cause it is not very disturbing to me. It's less annoying than the phantom smells I get (like cat pee... lol.)

All types of hallucinations are actually fairly common with Lyme disease. I have smelled, heard and seen all kinds of things that weren't really there, although I don't think I've ever had my mouth taste sweet!

I've had that sweet taste suddenly start and a week or two later stop, for no reason. It didn't affect the taste of food, though.
