Hello,
I am new to the forum and I hope to find some answers. I am 35 years old and I was perfectly fine until July. From one day to the other I got so sick. It all started with a headache that lasted 4 weeks all day every day, it felt like someone put a belt around my head and pulled on it. My brain seemed to be all foggy and sometimes I would read something without having any idea what I just read. In addition to hat I had vision problems on my right eye and my legs and arms felt so shaky and weak. Accompanied by muscle pain. After weeks my headache stopped and the weakness got better but other things kicked in, like muscle twitching, joint pain, sore throat, anxiety and for some reason I started shivering and then I felt like my head is super hot. Some days a tend to have a low grade fever others my body temperature is super low. Mu newest addition of symptoms is that my right heel feels like I have a vibrating cell phone attached to it non stop. Some days my skin feels like it is on fire, other days I feel numbness or sharp pain. IT is so weird as my symptoms shift all the time
And for several days I have a difficulty in breathing and sometimes in swallowing, I am not even sure if this is anxiety now or if it a symptom. I am so freaked out, as I am a mom of two kids and so many days I feel like I can't get anything done. I have this fatigue and lack of energy. I went to my family doctor and they did a CT can of the brain and also an MRI of the brain. Both without any result. They sent me to the neurologist, he did an EEG without any result. Everything seems to be fine. I requested a Lyme test, which came back Negative. It was the ELISA my result was 0.14 , so not even close to a positive. I am from Germany where Lyme is very common in ticks and as a pet owner and someone who loves the outdoors I had several ticks in my life. I cannot remember a rash after a bite. This twitching and vibrating is driving me nuts. Every day I have something else. I begged my doctor for a western blot test which finally got done, but I haven't gotten the results yet. In those weeks of being sick I had 3-4 days when I felt perfectly fine and I was so happy because I thought this nightmare is over... but of course it started all over again.
I am so worried, because I have not diagnosis and I feel like my doctor doesn't take me serious. Do my symptoms sound like they might be caused by lyme, or should I just accept the negative lyme test?
Thank you so much for reading this
