I hope I didn't post about this already; I'm herxing, but, what is the RIGHT way for a dentist to remove mercury fillings without releasing the mercury back into the bloodstream?

Someone on FB told me that the dentist just has to make sure that there are no fragments left over?

Wouldn't most dentists do that anyway?

Oh, and is it painful? I don't do that well with Lidocaine.

The dentist will use a dental dam (I think all dentists use these now anyway), to prevent the fragments from going to the back of your mouth and down your throat.

I also read that the biological dentists will give you oxygen while they're drilling, so you don't inhale the fumes.

After it's all done, rinsing several times to get rid of all fragments.

There may be more to it - that's just what I have read online.

please go to a biological dentist to have this done, one that knows what they are doing.

it isn't painful but they have to drill out the old fillings, so you need some type of novicane.

you need the denal dam, the oxygen so you can breathe through your nose. activated charcoal under your tongue. usually a special air filtration system in the room. a continuous suction hose near your face. your face is usually covered with some type of protection for the dust/vapor. you can get an vit c IV, while they do it. there is a whole protocol to be followed and a regular dentist wont do it correctly. I can give you the name of a place in MA if you are willing to travel

Yes please, but that sounds incredibly expensive.

Otherwise, thanks so much for giving me the protocol.

I'm willing to travel, but not over and over. The problem is, I don't have the money to pay for the procedure at one time.

Do you think it's better to do it with a regular dentist, or not to do it at all?
