Optimizing your methylation cycle is vital to proper detox. Suzy Cohen explains why.....and she offers suggestions:

To help with methylation, I stopping consuming alcohol, opted for a low-gylcemic diet. I continue to eat organic as much as possible. I've doubled the doses of the probiotics, CoQ10, magnesium and Vit C I was already taking and added ALA (Alpha Lipoic Acid) I've also increased my intake of green leafy vegetables to get folate my body can use. Exercise (often mild) is the norm for me and I'm doing everything I can to minimize stress or at least the effects of it.
I'm going to talk to my LLMD about 5-MTHF supplementation. I *think* he mentioned it during my last appointment but used a "big word" (lol). It ended with him telling me to keep eating green leafy vegetables...a "lot of green leafy vegetables".
I also took some of the suggestions in the new to Lyme thread on here: I do dry skin brushing before my daily shower.....and I drink a LOT of filtered water or spring water (I've occasionally squeezed the juice of 1/4 organic lemon into the water)
Some people take Epsom baths and some add hydrogen peroxide.
