Hi everyone just started cefron felt ok until yesterday more depressed and feel likea nervous feeling on it more than usual and a weird nervous feeling and trouble sleeping is this normal oh and weird nightmares. Is this normal taking cefron axetil 2 times per day500mgs god help us all had enough of this crap jennifer cry

Hi Jennifer,

Sorry to hear you are going through this. Ceftin is known to cause sleeping issues as a side effect fyi. The nervous/depressed feelings can be linked to a herx. Ceftin is really good for neurological brain issues with lyme - at least that was my experience. I did get a nervous jittery almost feeling the first few days I was on at that dose (I worked up to that dose) then I just felt drunk, out of it, and really thirsty for a few days.

I'm hoping that it is just a very brief issue for you and you will start to feel better soon.

Thanku opugirl trying to stay positive i am thinking of ordering the japenese knotwood rom dragon herbs also and start slow what should be the first herb to ? Thank u aain life should not be this hard trying to strong jenniferšŸ˜³

Catchscooter - I am taking the Green Dragon Botanicals Japanese Knotweed.

So, start slow - take only 1 capsule - 3 x daily.
See how it goes for a few days, then go to 2 caps - 3 x daily.

I have taken 3 caps 3 X daily.

Go to Buhner's website...on the right side of the home page, he lists the maxiumum dose - I believe it is according to body weight.

I'm not sure...because I was on it several months back before I started antibiotics. I believe at that time, it helped somewhat with my sleep issues and anxiety. I wasn't logging things that well...but I think I was just starting the doxy, but had been on the JK and CC for 5 weeks when I had the improvement.

I went off it after a 12 day herx... and now am back on again - my LLND told me to start it up again.

I wasn't seeing a LL Dr. for the first two months or so of treatment. I was "winging it"....

Catchscooter - It will get better...I was a mess a year ago...I didn't know how I would get through the days. I was waking every two hours with anxiety/panic...choking/gagging.

But, it did get better...I am sleeping with only one wake-up and I am dreaming again - I stopped dreaming for many months...which is disturbing as I'm used to having a good dream pretty much every night.

The anxiety during the day subsided at the same time my sleep issues subsided...and I believe it was because the lyme was being treated.

I know it seems like you'll never get better...but please believe you will.
Just keep saying, "My body is healing, I'm getting better". Take deep breaths, close your eyes and say it over and over again several times a day. Put comforting music on...to distract.
