Thank you both.
I did a quick and dirty search and didn't find much so I think I need to spend a little more time on this. I queried my LLMD so will wait to hear back. What I did find was that dark green veggies are high in vitamin K, which helps the blood clot. But I am only eating one salad and serving of steamed veggies per day and that is about the only thing I CAN eat on this restrictive diet so that's not going to change. The nurse seemed to think it wasn't an issue.
And I found that these herbs are known to interact (none of which I am currently taking): bilberry, bromelains, coenzyme Q-10, danshen, dong quai, feverfew, garlic, ginger, ginkgo biloba, ginseng, horse chestnut, meadowsweet, St John’s wort, turmeric and willow, digitalis, fenugreek, red clover, reishi, sweet clover, sweet woodruff.
And I found that Heparin may deplete Vit. D, which is interesting.
I do believe that one of my DNA mutations makes me at a higher risk for blood clots.
Healing98—if I check my blood-what am I checking it for?
