I went to the infectious disease doctor for a glabrata yeast infection and was treated for three months prior to developing bacterial mouth infections. That is in addition to my list of other mysterious diagnosed illnesses including: fibromyalgia, IBS, gastritis, acid reflux, multiple sinus and ear infections, and hair loss etc. I figure I've had lyme disease for somewhere around 25 years. They took a lyme test and only got one strand (I'm not sure which one)but because of symptoms decided to treat anyway:

They started me on 7 days of penicillin VK, followed by 7 of doxy at 200mg a day (which I worry about because from what I understand that isn't enough), then an additional 10 of the penicillin and the 3 more on the doxy.

I may need a LLMD but do not know how to go about finding one. Do they take insurance? I also thought about taking the herbs on my own but they are very expensive. Is there anyway to get them cheaper? Because I cannot afford it. Also, is it imperative to take all the herbs on the list, or will they work with just some?

I'm very scared and very sick and I don't know what to do because it's all very confusing.

Hi Ginger - Welcome to the forum. This is a great place for help and support. We will help you with questions you have.

Some do take insurance.

Regarding herbs - there are some protocols that are inexpensive...one being the Buhner protocol. Two other herbal protocols are Cowden, and Byron White but I am not familiar with them, so don't know the cost.

I live in Las Vegas And would like a LLMD as close as possible. I can't travel far. Only have one car and husband uses it .Works 6-7 days a week . Need to get rides or wait till he can get days off which doesn't happen often. Can't mess with his job .He is the only one working and bills are getting hard to pay with all my medical bills. I have been seeing doctors and have been in the hospital 5 or 6 times and half that time we had no insurance. Husband lost his job twice in that time due to lay offs. Almost lost the house twice and savings completely gone now.
