What do you see when you close your eyes?

Good question. When my first symptoms started on my eyes, i would close them and see green electric lightning, flashes and colorful images on a black back ground....lol, i thought i was having a ghostly experience, some sort of super natural power that i could see this with my eyes close....i did not know it was lyme and co. Messing with my sight.....lol

I see things sometimes (when I close my eyes). I thought they were quasi hallucinations. Sometimes I open my eyes again, other times I try to ignore them.

It doesn't happen very often.

Apparently a test you can do to know if lyme is still in your cerebral spinal fluid, is to close your eyes. If you have no flashes, flickers, or sparks. That means it is done. I think it is a good test.

The flashes are called phosphenes. Oddly enough, each person's are unique!

Mine are green and purple.

My eyes see the sam when I close them now, as long before. But my eyesight has changed drastically since the lyme sx flared last yr. I hope it's reversible.

Good to hear opugirl. My hearing has always been problematic so my eyesight has overcompensated and I've been spoiled with perfect eyesight. To lose eyesight too has me quite worried. Many things to look forward to after treatment!
