mthfr testing - 23andme?

Considering the test.

Is the saliva test from 23andme a good one?
I also see there are blood tests available.

It looks like the 23andme is available for Canadians...and if it's saliva, then it will be convenient...won't have to pay for a ND to take blood.

opinions, advice?

I've done the 23andme and wish I had done it before I had specific (also limited and and expensive) MTHFR tests done. It's comprehensive, inexpensive, fairly quick and mostly confidential if you want it to be (I think we talked about that previously). Most people have been pleased so far with the other services that interpret the data you get from 23andme.com. It's the next step of supplementing for your specific mutations where I think things get a little complicated for some.

Darn… I lost my list for the interpretation websites. Hope someone else can post them.

Also, Amy Yasko has a ton of good stuff. Once I get past the holidays my next focus is to get back to additional DNA testing and to start a new depth of research on this whole subject.
