Aseptic meningitis from bartonella

Has any experienced this type of herx with bartonella treatment?

My LLMD says I have.

I had to back off meds. Scary stuff. skull

That is scary. Hopefully backing off your meds will help prevent more episodes.

I did get checked just to make sure it wasn't septic. For anyone reading this, that's a medical emergency. GO TO E.R. I am NOT septic.

Scary but aseptic meningitis is a common symptom for me ( without meds too ). It came on very strong when I was first infected ( 1 1/2 year ago ). Rifampin for Bart ...been on it full for 6 months, doesn't do much. Houttuynia at SUPER low dose causes the aseptic meningitis herx. Can't stay on it long. Just too much even at low dose and huge detoxing.

I have also have babs and lyme. On other meds for that, but doing much better with those. I think babs is in remission. Bart still holding on strong.

Has anyone had aseptic meningitis from Bartonella? Interested in stories

Ugh ....forgot to answer... Aseptic meningitis symptoms are strong visual hallucinations, occipital lobe on fire, spine neck pain just as bad, brain fog, alzheimer type symptoms ( forget names, forget where I am, no train of thought, space out, angry / crying with no trigger, depressed, anxiety ). Borderline psychosis. It is Bart related
