How do you want to take it? tincture, whole herb capsules, tea? (I don't know if it comes in capsules)
I take Woodland Essence tincture. Woodland Essence is a source that Buhner recommends.

We use the 1stChineseHerbs powdered herb for making tea. This company is also on Buhner's recommended list.

I used 1st Chinese Herbs cut and sifted form and made a tea with it. It's fully described how I did it here:

Well, I used a medical tea (while using Lyme herbs)- others have used a tincture. I don't believe there is a way to know which method is best, just whatever works best for the individual. If one form doesn't work, it might be worth the time to try other forms of the herb.

In his mycoplasma/bartonella coinfections book, Buhner recommends making an infusion of the dried herb. He says this is better than the tincture made from the dried herb.
If you can source fresh herb, the tincture would be better. If you decide on a tincture, ask the company if it was made from dried or fresh houttuynia.
