I wanted to share this with you, it presents several case studies on how debilitating Barto can be and how hard it is to detect it in some cases. In addition, some of the patients had multiple species of Barto; some became incapacitated. I am about to write my son's neurologist a letter and include this article. ALL of my son's symptoms are present in this article and Barto can be explain as the cause of his debilitating illness.

@Simela1 I did the same as you did presenting evidence to general specialists. Their opinions tend to be pretty well formed already so patients coming in with info doesn't impact them much. Remember they treat thousands of patients and most think they know what they have. Neurologists wont disagree or agree with you. Yes if you push them enough they will treat you but do you want someone treating you that doesn't know much about a condition? I would rather see someone who knows about Bart already.

Can your LLMD refer you to a Bart neurologist?
Did you try testing? Yes it's not really reliable but if you got a positive test in hand Drs would have a hard time disagreeing with you?
