What are your Bart Symptoms?

I have the following bart symptoms... Strange thing is now looking back at this whole thing, I realize 90% OR more of my symptoms were bart the whole time!!!

- The whites of the eyes become all red. ** bart symptom lol
- Red rash on my feet usually after a shower **
- Red slash like rash that occasionally appears on my body. **
- Insomnia **
- Anxiety ** (but only experienced when I was first infected)
- Brain vibrations **
- Foot aches **
- Low Blood pressure.
- Dry skin
- Testicle Aches
- Ice pick headaches
- Burning headaches
- Eye floaters.
- little lines on my finger tips
- burning tendons
- joint aches (yes bart causes joint aches too apparently)
- Stiff hands
- Achy body joints, achy limps


Bart is tough... It travels in the blood stream primarily infecting red blood cells but then leaves the red blood cells and goes for the endothilial cells in the blood vessels. So it kind of leaves the red blood cell and attempts to burrow into the tissue it comes to. It can't get deep like lyme can but it can still get into the brain and it can still burrow into other tissues.

I think there are quite a few symptoms that cross over with Lyme though, so sometimes it is hard to tell.

interesting - stiff hands. I have stiff, sore finger joints (no swelling though) - and this symptom came on several months after lyme treatment...maybe it's bart.

LP - you don't have all those symptoms anymore, right? You're still at 90%?

My doctor gave me a check sheet and put single asterisks by the symptoms that indicate bart. Here are the ones he indicated for bart:

Low grade fevers (feel like you're coming down with flu or cold)
Frequent sore throats
Dry, sticky sweating day or night
Rashes that look like red stretch marks, usually on back or hips
Headache in front or top of head
Blurry vision or red or dry eyes
Ringing in ears
Swollen glands
Stomach pain
Calf pain
Muscle twitching in calves or anywhere else
Shin bone pain
Pain on soles of feet (especially in am)
Numbness, tingling, or burning sensation of nerves
Anxiety
Difficulty falling asleep
Abnormal labs (low white blood count, low platelets, high liver enzymes, elevated sed rate)

Is burning on the bottoms of both feet a common Bart symptom is this not heard of often in Bart?

Has gotten better w/treatment.

Yes! My daughters feet are red and cause a lot of pain. All sorts of neuro problems, throat pain, digestive problems, insomnia are her most problemed symptoms ATM. She has had pretty much every symptom listed though. Best wishes! :)

Summersun - that's interesting about the small vs. large joints.

My finger joints started hurting with stiffness a couple months ago...several months AFTER treating lyme...so maybe it is bart...considering that sometimes a co-infection ramps up when you treat Lyme.

My knees and shoulders also hurt...so I guess my lyme isn't fully treated yet...

Actually the distinction between bart causing joint aches in the small joints vs. lyme causing aches in the larger joints is an interesting one. Hmm that makes me think about my own joint aches.

It's hard to tell though! I think it is possible bart can cause some mild aches in some joints. I read one lyme naturopath say the joint aches are bilateral. And that they can be in the knees too.

Ugh I don't know, I have mild aches lately, maybe my lyme isn't done. I have the shoulder and knee aches still.

One thing for sure is that bart does this thing where you feel mild burning or aching in the whole forearm or the entire lower leg. I associate that symptom with bart.

Oh YES I also had gastrointestinal symptoms like I felt my entire digestive tract wanted to puke or something, esspecially after I ate the wrong thing.

My plan is take out the bart next. I haven't been able to completely finish my bart yet so that is my next goal. Then if I have lyme left I will go for that.

RunnerGirl- I'm using triple antibiotics against bart now. And yes I "partially treated bart" in the past. Although the before I can swear my bart symptoms were resolved. First time I treated it for like 5 months, it came back, then I did Clarithromycin + septra DS + minocycline. It was completely gone and then came back again. I think I just didn't treat it long enough.

My LLMD says if double antibiotic combination fails then we move on to triple combination against bart. I would hate for it to become resistant and have a chronic bart case for the rest of my life.

I'm using rifampin, minocycline, and azithromycin. I also take boluoke (lumbrokinase).

I also drink 1 bart drink a day. (Buhner Bart/Mycoplasma protocol).

I did read 1 report of someone who claims they beat bart in 1 month by using rifampin + minocycline + azithromycin with the lumbrokinase. So I am keeping my fingers crossed that it works.
