Antibiotic Guide & Combos: Feedback Please

Questions, especially for the moderators & vets on this forum. Any feedback is welcome:

1. Can I rely on this info as sound science regarding the med combos? It makes sense to me, even though we all recognize that scientists are still determining/debating the various forms of the bacteria.

2. I'm focused on detoxing now to get my immune system back up. But when I'm up for it my doc has prescribed Biaxin if I want to take it. He also said he will prescribe Flagyl if I feel it's needed. But he's worried about my liver being stressed. (Doxy made me sick & I may have developed an allergy to amoxi, so now on to Biaxin.) Thoughts? Experiences with this combo?

3. Based on this guide, I'm thinking I will fill the Biaxin and combine with Grapefruit Seed Extract instead of Flagyl. Thoughts? Experiences?

4. First my doc thought IV Rocephin would be my best choice if other meds didn't work. But if I have developed an allergy to penicillins, he says I'm not a candidate. Why does this matter if Rocephin isn't a penicillin? Is it because the mechanisms for both work with the cell the same way? I don't quite understand this logic. He also doesn't want to prescribe any 'cyst-busters' if he can't prescribe anything to then kill what escapes from the cysts if I can't have penicillin. Please help me understand whether this last theory makes sense, as I think there could be other abx I could take.

Lots of alternatives to Flagyl, this is so helpful, thanks! Good to know you think Biaxin is a good drug--I know we all have different reactions so my fingers are crossed.

I'm feeling much better off the meds, but symptoms are obviously showing right back up like heavy legs and slight dizziness everytime I stand up. Still so much better than itching and sleeping though!

It is a pretty good guide... and this is actually my LLMD!  I use many of his principles.  And I got myself quite well... But I'm not cured yet. 

To be honest though I beleive Dr. H's method of treatment is better, although much more complex.

For example he says just treat 3 forms...  But there is one thing that isn't taken into consideration here which is where the drugs will go in the body.  For example there are 2 compartments... Fluids and tissues and lyme needs to be treated in both parts. 

I'll give an example minocycline is better for nerve/brain infection, while macrolides are better for tissues of the body.   In Dr. R's guide minocycline covers the spirochete and intracellular lyme... But does it get into all the tissues?  The solubilities of the drugs are different.  Also a cell wall drug can be more effective to kill.    Also rifampin treating cyst form according to this guide???  Now to me this is questionable.  As I can't find any research on rifampin working for any spirochete bacteria. 

 

But he does stress the importance of treating biofilm... Always having a cyst buster like GSE.  He has a pretty good treatment.  If you have any questions on his principles please let me know as I know them pretty good now.
