I think yes. The above article is money.
Being at this for awhile, most LLMD's do not treat parasitic infections but for a short course if a stool test comes back positive. Dr. K is pioneering in this area treating parasites first and then treating the Lyme infection as he says treating parasites aggressively greatly reduces the time that he needs to treat the Lyme bacteria. My own LLND has written books but she told me she doesn't know much about
treating parasites and she is really good at treating Lyme. I am pursuing seeing a parasite doctor and cannot wait to get started on this treatment.
Interestingly enough, the statistic that 20% of patients go on to develop chronic lyme disease coincides with 20% of people in the US having genetic defects that don't allow their body to recognize and remove lyme, mold or other biotoxins and so those toxins remain in the gallbladder/liver for a lifetime unless the toxins are removed. Dr. Shoemaker has a protocol for this - and it doesn't just involve detoxing which alot of us do - but it has some added steps that involve resetting the brain/hormones to restore a patient to health.
These two components (worms and biotoxins) to the illness has me wondering if these are the things that keep alot of us sick for so long. I am planning on going to see specialists in both of these departments and getting treatment and see if I make an improvement.
