Can you pulse Mepron?

Can Mepron be pulsed? Would that alleviate or at least help with the diarrhea it caused? I was taking it with azithromycin and I believe it's the Mepron that gave me bad diarrhea. As soon as I stopped the meds, the diarrhea stopped (although I am still going frequently).

I am going to talk with my LLMD on Friday but would like to know my options beforehand. Is there any other med for Babesia? I also pulse artemisinin. Thanks guys!!!

Sorry you didn't get an answer. I took it continuously, though it was very difficult. That is some nasty stuff!

In Horowitz's book.....pgs 148-9.......

Doxy + plaquenil + malarone
Lariam, can be used alone or with doxy, plaq, artemisia
Coartem, alone or with daraprim

It looks like oral or IV clindamycin can also be used.
