If you're on multiple antibiotics and other supplements/herbs, how is it possible to analyze what's working?
It seems best to target as many infections as you can at once to speed up recovery but it leaves you wondering what is working and what it's missing.
I guess I'm just confused about what co infections I have. I have too many symptoms that overlap and I can't seem to pinpoint. I suspect lyme, bartonella, & babesia but I tested negative for Lyme through Igenex a year and half ago and haven't tested for co-infections because of funds. So far, I've targeted Lyme and Bart with oral antibiotics without much progress for about a year. about a month ago, I started a trial for babesia and I experienced significant air hunger for the first time on the 5th day of atovaquone alone.
Right now I take - atovaquone 2 tsp/day, Azithromycin 500 mg 1/day, and Bactrim DS 2/day.
I seem to be flaring all the time. it's definitely worse at times, but overall I feel pretty bad every day since starting this regimen. The worst symptoms are very intense and constant panic/anxiety, muscle pain migrating all over, intense head pressure usually in front of head and temples, blurry vison, tingling/burning nerves all over, low circulation in extremities, muscle spasms, chills, fatigue, some hearing disturbances, and irrational negative thinking all the time. I keep second guessing everything in life. The panic feeling is in my gut right below my ribs.
Is it possible that I have a lot of die off because this regimen targets all 3 infections to a degree. Soon I will add some of Buhners herbs to the mix.
Is it a good idea to cover all suspected infections or to piece it together to seperate what is working for sure? I trust my doctor, but I'm just wondering how everyone keeps track. Is there any tell-tale signs of babesia and bartonella? ones that dont commonly overlap?
Based on my symptoms, I feel lIke I have all 3 but the babesia symptoms arent very typical or prominent for me. But the air hunger sticks out. signs point strongly in favor of bartonella so I still feel like it's playing a part. It's so hard to tell when you can't test reliably.
