Hi Friends,

I just wanted to give you all a heads up if you are on the Cowden protocol.

They dropped parsley and replaced it with achote.

I almost ended up in the ER yesterday with a MAJOR allergy to the achote.

I have no clue why they changed it up Frankly, I'm so irritated b/c I feel like this allergy has really set me back.

My muscles and joints are all sore. These are symptoms I was nearly rid of! I know, I know, I've been detoxing like mad...

So.... please, please start slow on the achote and see if you get any type of reaction.

Did you not know about the change? It wasn't mentioned when you ordered it?

Or did you know, but didn't realize you'd have a reaction?

Hey Girlie,

They sent a flyer with the change. They also took out the zeolite which is a bit annoying too.

I just didn't imagine I would be so sensitive to achote. It's really so, so weird. I never had allergies

before Lyme. Now, once in a while, I'll get that allergy type feeling. But not like this. Freaked me out!

Thanks, I will feel better very soon. I just need a couple of GREAT nights sleep!

They should have asked before shipping it. Eeeks. Thank you for the warning! Maybe we can find an alternative parlsey tincture. I don't feel good with a completely different product.

Hey Lymie,

Yikes, thanks for the heads up on the zeolite! I've been taking it for many months but I won't anymore if some claim it to be toxic. Hm, very strange.

I'm with Mike though, I use cholestyramine and it seems to work much better anyways.

Why not tincture it yourself? I think it is much better to keep a product if it's helping you. So sorry you had to deal with this! What dose did you use?

Personally, I think zeolite is great, but his dose is too small.

Girlie, I think achote is annatto. Which I have never been allergic to. Maybe it's just the way they tincture it?

I agree! So... any ideas on how I can do it? I just looked up utube videos but it's confusing. I'll search here...

I haven't had a bad reaction from it and I have some left. I'll have to do some research first. Thanks for your input. I hope you start getting your energy back soon!
