First, I just want to say thank you to everyone on this board. I am (fairly) new to Lyme disease, and this board has been an amazing resource to me as well as a source of support. Short story, I was diagnosed in Nov 14, started on a rotational antibiotic regimen (one drug M/W/F, another one T/Th/Sat, etc), change of drugs every 2-3 months. I definitely am not feeling any better, though it's only been 5 months, in fact, I think most days I'm worse than I was before I started this journey. From everything I have read, I don't feel confident that traditional western medicine is going to "fix" this disease, (Not that it ever really can be fixed, I'm still trying to accept that!). Anyway so I've decided at least for now to switch to the Cowden protocol, but I have read about so many people doing part Cowden, part other things. I'm also exploring the world of essential oils and ordered a starter kit to start using those (I think just topically/diffused for now, at some point I may try the Lyme Bullets but have to figure out how that will fit in).
To complicate things, there are 2 Cowden protocols that I have seen, both use the Samento and Banderol, but have different detox products: One uses zeolite, the other uses achote and sealantro. I just wanted to see if anyone has experience with these different products, and also if you have used a modified Cowden, can you tell me what your regimen looks like?
(And yes I'm doing a variety of things for detox and adding various herbs, vitamins, etc as I learn more about what might work)
Thanks for any and all advice!
Lisa
