I am very confused. Reading a lot of conflicting information. Got my results back and the IGG states band 39 IND and band 41++. IGM states band 39 IND and band 41+++. What does this mean exactly?

This means that your body is producing antibodies (reacting) to the lyme bacteria. It looks like you could have lyme disease.

I'm assuming since you got tested that you have symptoms consistent with lyme disease symptoms?

I think you should find a Lyme Literate MD in or near your city and make an appointment.
Only a LLMD can properly evaluate your symptoms and history, along with your test results for back-up and determine whether you have lyme disease.

The sooner you do this, the better off you will be.

If you need help finding one, start a new thread titled: "Looking for LLMD in/near_____" and insert you city/town and State.

You will need to enable your email so people can send you names of Doctors....we aren't allowed to post their names on the forum - because of privacy issues.

Also, I'd like to direct you to the top of the page and to the thread titled: "New to Lyme...Start Here" - it's full of good information, including a symptom list...where you can browse through and see if you have symptoms consistent with lyme disease.
Lyme also usually comes with co-infections - symptom lists are in that thread, as well.

Band 39 is specific to Lyme. You have produced some antibodies to it. It should be considered as positive since there is something there. It's like being sort of pregnant. Either you are or you are not.

If you have symptoms of Lyme and/or co-infections, you should see a Lyme Literate doctor.
