well I started A BAB 12 days ago, and had a severe reaction with congested lungs, could not breathe, stopped up head, etc. I thought it was a herxx. well that day I sprayed some bronco horse fly spray on my horse which is the last time I saw her or rode her since I have been so ill.

well yesterday, I was doing so much better, went out and rode her. I sprayed the fly spray on her and had an immediate reaction, bad headache, coughing, etc. I thought I was going to have to go to the Er. I am a RN went home with my husband took some hydrocortisone, and anti histamine. I realized at that moment I am allergic to the spray. and that I had an acute reaction to the spray 12 days ago, and a herxx at the same time. I said wow, no wonder I could not raise my head off the pillow for days.

now today, my lung congestion is back moderate, I am coughing up yellow to white mucous, chest pain, headache, etc. I have been off A Bab 5 to 6 days. I am taking low dose hydrocortisone and anti histamines, drinking lots of water. I know the hydro is a no no, but I can't breathe. I am going to see my medical doctor on monday, and hopefully he can do a chest X-ray give me an inhaler, or meds to get me thru this again. I am so weak.

I have now got to find a natural fly spray for my horse. and be aware of people there spraying their own fly sprays, or if there is an auto fly sprayer in the barn over my head on the ceiling.

I have a lot of allergies. but now with lyme I am super sensitive. to chemicals, mold, dirt, dust, perfume, anything. I may be developing allergic asthma. I know I do have babesia.

can anyone tell me what a normal herxx from A BAB feels like? I was only on 3 drops bid. now I don't know how much was a herxx or the reaction to the fly spray. I have notified my ND.

Hi Mystery,

I take A-BAB too. My initial herxes were more of the run-down, exhausted, flare of pain and bad headaches type.

I'm glad you called your doctor. Have you heard from him/her?

I got a response from md. he said we will have to wait until I am over this reaction. I see my medical tomorrow hope to have X-ray and get better medication. I am taking hydrocortisone it is so acute. thank you everyone for all the kind comments

A Bab is powerful stuff. When I first started taking it, I was overcome with increased sx: air hunger, fullness of lungs like I had an upper respiratory infection, increased post nasal drip, fever and my hands and feet felt warm and clammy, and the skin on my hands and feet started to peel…

I was doing well w/ my detox at first and the intensity of the sx resolved within 3 or 4 wks. But at some point around the 2 month mark I hit my tipping point and my treatment was out of balance with my detox, nutrition and everything started to devolve. I started having heart problems, possibly due to oxidative stress (unsure as the cardiologist I saw was worthless, ignorant and defiant that nothing was wrong with me, except maybe psychosis…)

Anyway, I stopped the Byron White herbs and a few other things in my tx and I'm slowly recovering. Hope to re enter the fight in about 3 wks.

lord I had a spell tonite where I felt like I was just giving up I prayed for god to take me home I am ready to go. I have had a good education, world championships, good photography good husband, I have seen the mountains in north carolina. I have a beautiful paso fino mare and my dream cats. I don't won't to live a life where I can't help other people or animals or something

we even have bought a new house in asheville nc we are closing in 2 weeks. I am trying to hold up they have a good lyme doctor and close to washington dc where dr j is. all kinds of alternative care, and a healing spring an hour away. do you know the reason the springs seem to make you feel better is because of the water's high hydrogen peroxide content?

we went out there in april I was so sick on pain pills to make it the trip and found a steal on a house a price unheard of in that area. I want to die, looking at a mountain. it is so hot we can't tolerate the heat where we live. our house is too big for both my husband and me to take care of, 2600 sq feet, with 10 acres of land, and another 5 on the other side of the property that is just growed up. my husband was just diagnosed with diastolic heart failure and is on heart pills now, gets tired easily plus on top of me, we both need a small house. the only thing now I will push myself to do is ride my horse. we found a good stable for her to be boarded at 5 min from the house. there is so many people into organic alternative living out there I thought I may find a witch doctor out there lol. or a shaman at cherokee. lol

I'm so sorry you're going through this! Please hang in there Mystery. Don't let Babesia get the best of you. You're going to pull through this and get better!

You have too many who would miss you. Your husband, horse and kitties need you. I'm such an animal lover. I had horses growing up. I would enjoy having one again, but it does not seem very likely. I have 2 wonderful cats. I have had a bunch of other animals too. I like photography a lot as well. You have too much to give up. Keep fighting. You can do this. I will pray for you. Sending HUGS to you!

Hang on, Mystery. Keep fighting, please!! I was ready to give up too, I just thought it was time for me to go. Called the kids in and we had "the talk" and everything. Then I managed to turn around.

Email me again and we can talk some more if you would like.
