Lifeguarding next to a forest. Should I be concerned?

Hey everyone. I've always lifeguarded in the summers between college. Just got a job at a new pool with a massive Forest next to the pool. Should I be concerned? I don't know a lot about ticks and where they move.

I figured I should be okay, because I assume ticks don't go on concrete in the daytime very often. I've uploaded a picture to show where I'm sitting in relation to said forest. I can move further away from it if need be.

My take on it is that you can't avoid life because of ticks.

Life is full of forests (though a little less so due to environmental destruction, LOL).

Unfortunately, I can't use insecticide, because of chemical sensitivities.

I try to remember to look for ticks every night in the shower (well, bathtub).

I live in a beautiful, forested area above a river, and I have a small parcel of river land that's heavily forested. That is what makes me happy, and I refuse to give it up.

If you're on a full dose of abx or antimicrobials, my experience is at least, that ticks don't attach.

My dog is on Doxy, and I have seen dead ticks on her, but no attachments.
